The return of Open Mic Shakespeare!

WE”RE BACK! After a brief hiatus, Open Mic Shakespeare returns to the Cleveland community this month! Wednesday May 25th, from 7-10pm at the wonderful Canopy Collective arts gallery and studio on Lorain!

Open Mic Shakespeare is a public event where we invite you, our beloved Cleveland audience, to come help us read a play by Shakespeare.

At the beginning of each Act, everyone picks their part out of a hat, and they do thus read that, until the end of the Act.

Then, they pick new parts, and read on. Everyone who attends will get a chance to read. This event brings everyone together, from die-hard fans of Shakespeare to those who have never spoken a verse.

This month, to get audiences ready for our fabulous upcoming season, we will be reading The Tempest, Shakespeare’s swan song to theater and, arguably, one of the first science fiction plays ever written. Come out to Canopy on Wednesday 5/25 and join us for a night of revels and reading!
